My Boy’s A “Kaki Jalan”

WH just loves car rides. Long distant, short distant, he just loves to be in the car, eventhough sometimes it’s just driving the car from outside into the house compound. Everytime he sees us took out the car key or walks toward the door, he will tag along us and signal us to carry him.

I was getting ready to fetch JS back from school today. WH saw me, he took my keys from the table and attempt to open the door. Of course he’s just too short to even reach the door knob.

ME: 瀚, 要去”街街”? (WH, you want go kai kai?)
WH: Ng…ng…
ME: 时间还没到. 还很早. (It’s not time yet, still early)
WH walks to where the wall clock is hanging, lifted his head and look at the clock. Then put my key back on the table and toddled away.

5 minutes later

ME: 瀚,要走了没有?(WH, are you ready to go?)
WH walks to the room, hold the alarm clock and keeps pointing the clock’s hand and makes “tck..tck…tck” sound.
ME: 来,我们走.(Come, let’s go)
WH’s shreak out of happiness, waving hands and swinging his legs when I carried him.
ME: 我们去哪里?(Where are we going?)
WH:jie jie (he knows we going to fetch his sister from school)

I love seeing him toddling around the house. When he walks, his steps would made the sound of “tit tot tit tot”, and he loves swinging his hands back and forth.

Lately I think WH has developed separation anxiety. Sometimes I do leave him alone at home with the maid. ( This bad mummy will go run errands and thinks that bringing him along is a hassle. Don’t ever let dear hubby finds out about this, else I would get a good long lecture from him for leaving the baby alone with the maid). Sometimes when I was out a little longer, WH would notice that I’m not around and starts looking for me. He would toddled around the house, to the toilet, banging the door, looked for me in the kitchen or in the computer room, and he would starts to cry , calling mama mama, or ah mi ah mi. ( The maid told me these)
Strange.. he could only call mama mama, or ah mi ah mi when he’s crying looking for me, looking for nan-nan. When I asked him to call me ma ma, he can only call PAPA.
