WH’s partially potty trained. Amazingly both JS and WH were self trained to do their “big business” at 18 months. JS started at 18 months by saying “ng ng” . WH doesn’t know how to talk yet, but for 2 weeks he’s by showing facial expression of pushing and squating to let us know he wants to do his business.
ME: WH.. you want ng ng?
WH : shaking head (doesn’t know how to nod) ..making some strange sound
ME: Go ..go potty…run there
WH: run to the potty
The maid or me would take of the nappy, and sure enough he will do his business in the potty. After that he knows how to bend his knee and let me do the cleaning in the toilet. Finally…no more stinking nappy to change and wash.
As for peeing..still don’t know how to train him yet. WH knows how to request for a change each time right after the nappy is wet. Sometime I will ask him to sit at the potty when the nappy is too dry after a certain hour. But how to train a boy to pee standing?? So far I have asked him to sit instead of stand?? (Maybe already wrong way to train him)
JS was taken off from the diaper at 22 months during the day. At the moment she’s still wearing diaper to sleep at night, but I’ve notice for about 3 months now, she will wake up with a dry diaper. But I have not wanted to take the risk of totally taking off the diaper yet. Very lazy mummy to wake up in the middle of the night to ask if she needs to “xiao pian” or worst to wake up to change bedsheet.

JS said this is a crockcroach… but looks like Barney to me.
I drew the house and the cloud, the rest of the colouring and drawing is done by JS.
She said is a lizard.
JS loves drawing, whenever she’s free she would draw or write. She’s actually requested me to sent her for drawing lesson but I don’t know if I really should because she’s attending school and music lesson already. Moreover there are other things that I wanted her to learn (ie ballet, to correct her way of walking. JS walks tip-toe without the heel touching the floor most of the time, chinese believes that this would bring bad luck. Wanted to sent her for swiming lesson as well as a form of exercise), but at the same time I’m comtempalating of doing so as I don’t want to be one of the Kiasu mum that push their kids around lesson after lesson and left the kids with no time to relax. ( At the moment I think school and music is a bit taxing, not for the JS herself, but also to me as I have to chaffeur her around)
At the moment I have even stopped her schooling for a week already. Am thinking of stoping for a week or two. But really in the dillema of whether I should stop her for good, as she is so frequently down with flu ever since she attended school. She’s picking well at school, but at the same time at the age of 3+ maybe her health should be placed priority. Still weighing the pros & cons….

Brought JS to the dentist yesterday for her routine check. This is the third visit to the dentist.
First was when she was 18th months old. Didn’t go on that well, as she was scared of the dentist. 2nd time was last October. That time round, was better, because she read about the story of the crocodile Nigel visits to the dentist. But still I have to lie down and hold her while the dentist does her work.
This time round, she’s a very good girl. She lied down there by herself, very corporative and never cry. Feel proud of her. Look at the picture, she’s holding the book again about Nigel the crocodile.

She has got a lot of yellowish plague and the dentist did some polishing. And luckily I’m dilligently following the book of bringing the kids for a dental check twice yearly, because within 6 months after the last visit, she has got a few cavities!!! (Though it has not big enough to reach the nerves to cause pain) So we did about 4 fillings. And it cost RM75… I suppose if we go to the goverment one , it would be cheaper…but I don’t like to queue. We will have to have more frequent visit to the dentist now…about quarterly…. GEEZ…
I have wanted to wean JS from drinking milk from the bottle, because a lot of time she would fall asleep with the bottle in the mouth (which will definately cause cavity) and I’m not able to pull the bottle out until she’s deep asleep, else she will cry and fuss and most likely wake baby or hubby up. ( it’s like a pacifier subsitute) It’s strange that she can take the milk well from the bottle, but when I try cup or even with straw, she find the smell or taste of the milk yucky and would tempted to throw up…. Now I can only start with encouraging her to drink her milk fast and then gaggle with water after drinking the milk… have to think of a way to wean her from the bottle already…

We managed to bring the kids to Disney On Ice on Tuesday for the afternoon show. No complementary tickets this time, but JS has managed to “charm” her ku ma to buy the tickets for her. So we have got 2 RM187 rinkside tickets for daddy and mummy. (SIL thought that we should get a ticket at this price range because usually with our complementary tickets we got quite good seats, so to not disapoint JS, she has decided not to buy the cheaper RM35 one… SPOILT!)
Not a really spectacular show, as it was almost the same as the last few Disney On Ice shows we’ve seen. Boring for the adults but both JS and WH loves it. They enjoyed themself, enjoyed the show, the pop-corns (didn’t buy any souveniers…too expensive…cheapsake mummy!!), at the end of the show JS managed to shake hands with Belle , but to her it’s not good enough as she said is not a propoer hand shake and she didn’t manage to shake hand with Mickey…so all the way…crying to the car..Show finished at 4.30pm, by that time both the kids were already very tired and fell asleep in the car on the way home.
