WH is a cars lover. Besides playing clay and dough, the only thing that can keep him quiet and occupy is CARS. He can sit there quietly by himself for 1/2 hour just playing all his cars. Basically he holds his car whenever he goes and whatever he’s doing. He holds his car when he’s sleeping, pooing, eating, sitting in the car, going kai kai even when in the shopping mall, he holds his car when watching TV. He does not have a favourite, he swap the car he’s holding every so often. Generally he loves those metal matchbox cars (Though on the instruction it said “Choking hazard, not suitble for kids 0-3, but still we let him play with it). Not those big plastic ones.
We have helped him to start off his cars collection. Last weekend we went to toys’rus to buy the container for him to store his cars. Japanese TOMY brand. Cannot find any other nice suitable carrier.

Brought him to the paed the other day. The paed has got a toy car decoration on the shelf in the room, WH kept pointing at it and make a fuss wanted to get it. Let him play the car at the play area, when we were suppose to go, he wants to bring back the car as well. I have to basically snatch from him and put it back. He was really making a scene for it. (Have to train him that not everything he wants he can have it, when it’s not yours, have to give it back)
Same thing, went to my parents place , he also insist on taking back the toy car at my parent’s place. Since the grandparents a bit spoilt him, so I cannot insist on him leaving behind the car.
I was reading the newspaper just now. There is a page where they advertise a sleek Jaguar car. Shown it to WH. He was savouring at it. I flipped to another page continue reading, so happen there’s another Savy. Shown it to him as well. But he lost interest, he tried to flip back to look for the Jaguar, so I have to put the newspaper upright for him to look at the car while I continue reading the newspaper. Flipped to another page, there is a Jeep.
ME: “WH, look Big Foot”
WH look at the page, climb down to the bed, took his big foot. He then climb back up, put the car on the page and go “vroom vroom vroom”. Very fast, he lost interest on that too. Time to nap, put the papers away. Wanted to nurse him, but he make a fuss. So took a car for him to hold. Still not good enough, he was shaking his head. He then crawl to the newspaper, flipped through it, found the Jaguar ad, pulled out the page and gave it to me.
ME:” You want to put this here?” (indicating next to him)
WH nodded. Put him down, let him hold his car, put the newspaper next to him, nurse him and he fell asleep straight away contently. See..my son has got taste!! Between a Savy, Jeep and Jaguar, he has choosen the sleek Jaguar.
