Hubby bought an easel for the kids from IKEA last weekend. One side of it is a whiteboard, the other side is a black board and you can roll a paper from the middle. The kids love it very much. Since hubby forgotten to buy the paper, so the kids are drawing on the whiteboard at the moment.

WH likes to scribble on it. He knows how to open the marker’s cap. When he wants to erase of the drawing, he knows that he needs to put back the cover on the marker first. And he knows to pick the correct cover for the marker if there were two.
I hold his hand once to draw a car. After that he keeps coming back to me, wanted me to hold his hand to draw again.
JS wrote some alphabets at the top of the board and doesn’t want WH to mess with it, but cheeky WH stands on the chair and scribbled all over JS’s writing, after that he gave me a cheeky grin.

Ryan boy
Tell daddy, draw on shirt can wash, draw on wall can scrub it off, else repaint it. :p The experience, fun and chance to explore is hard to get.
By the way, JS and WH knows they not suppose to draw on walls. And they never did. They only accidentally draw on their shirt, which is OK.

I agree that it’s healthy to encourage their creativity. I love the easel that your hubs bought. Unfortunately, no Ikea in my town
WH looks like he is enjoying himself
