JS’s development at 3 yrs and 7months
- Much more indenpendent. Wanted to do most thing by herself
- No longer cry when go to school. Each morning, she will say, “mummy I go up by myself, bye” showing me happy smiling face.
- Shown interest and taken own initiative to learn to read and recognize word
- Shown interest in writing and spelling
- Improvement in drawings and colourings

- Not so keen on self feeding but at times when she’s in the mood, she’s very capable to feeding herself.
- Not much of a crying baby anymore, not so jealous of the brother, she has moved out of the phase of crying for no reason to get attention
- Able to sleep by herself for her afternoon nap. Previously I have to be at her side, can only get away after she fell asleep. Now I can just tell her, “mummy, busy , got work to do, you sleep first, later I come”. When I check on her, she’s fast asleep instead of crying for me.
- No more peeing in the nappy at night. But still let her wear.. just in case.
- Picking up Malay and Mandarin well after attending school.

As JS grows, she understands more and will be showing a lot of interests in lots of things. Good, very good improvement indeed. My girl still hasn’t shown any interest in writing and spelling … sigh … Whenever I teach her to write, she’ll be giving me excuses like “Mommy, hand very tired lar, pain pain lar …. haiyo …
