Simple Macaroni Cheese

Ingriedients

  • butter
  • 1 Tbsp plain flour
  • 1cup milk
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • cooked macaroni (small pasta shells)

Method

  • Heat butter in pan, add flour, cook stirring until mixture thickens and bubbles
  • Gradually stir in milk, stir until mixture boiles and thickens.
  • Add cheese and macaroni, stir over heat until cheese melts and mixture is heated through
  • top wih chopped tomato
  • served together with sausage

alternatively the macaroni mixture can be placed in ovenproof dish, top with a little chopped bacon, tomato and cheddar cheese and back in moderate oven until browned lightly.
