Lost & Found

October 5, 2006

Following the episode of the big head prawn..

I was at the police station at about 12.15pm. The policeman was typing in my report …so wait la…and then my handphone rang

“Hello…Mrs Tay? This is from Silverbell (JS’s new kindy for next year”

ME: “Yeah..”

“You lost your handbag izzit?”

ME: “Yeah” (all smile on the face….what a relieve…which meant someone has picked up my handbag)

“A lady has picked up your handbag, she’s still waiting in Giant..frantically looking for you, found the receipt and called…here’s her number XXX-XXXXXXX”

Cancelled the report with the police…lucky they have not completed and print it out yet…these policemen so friendly la (maybe puasa month that’s y) and they asked me to quickly go find the lady.

Called the lady..but she’s no longer at Giant but has gone home…she told me the place she stayed..but being new to this town…I have not heard of that place or the other places she mentioned around her house…I told her I would get hubby to bring me there.

Gone home..feed tha man of the house, feed the kids…then went over to this kind lady’s place ..but before that hub also went to buy some snack for her. Wah lau…the house very far away la….. I wonder why people travel so far to shop. :D Managed to find the place (big bangalow) , got my handbag back together with the mooncake and everything still there. :D wah…so lucky hor…but she refused to accept the snack we bought over. aiya…make me so paiseh and malu only.

My guardian angel is certainly guarding upon me. I’m so lucky that this kind hearted chinese lady picked up my handbag instead of some ill-intention people. Somemore this lady stays so far away from Giant.. she must have been there at the right time and right place to have done the good deeds. I’m truly relieve and very thankful to her.

What a drama….

Shooi

October 5, 2006

Today is such a “Shooi” day… I lost my handbag with my wallet inside….blame it to the sotong head, absend minded….real shit la

see..this morning after sending JS to school, I went to the kopitiam for breakfast with WH, wanted to go grocerry shopping at Giant, but they dont open until 9.30am, so makan first la.

Ok…after breakfast, drove to Giant, shop shop shop..then came home.  Hubby reached home the same time I parked my car (he has gone back to the factory at 11pm last night after his boss called..some rework prob) , at the same time opposite aunty also came over to chat with me…WH crying for me to take out his shoes and wont let the maid do it for him.. havoc….

Then proceed to prepare lunch - pan meen dough ….after that wanted to put the mooncake I’ve just bought at the altar for prayer (coz tomorrow Mid Autumn Fest)…shit..where’s the mooncake…asked the maid (she took out all the bags from the car for me)…said never see…thinking which plastic bag did I put the mooncake…then I realize I hang it at the trolley together with my handbag…panic…quietly search high and low for the handbag….dont have…GONE.

I cant remember if I have took it from the trolley hanger, I hang the mooncake there because I dont want WH to step or sit on it. The plastic bag of mooncake and handbag is hanging at the trolley hanger….Drove out to Giant at once…search search search..the place where I parked my car still vacant, the trolley still there …I can recognize it coz the way I pushed the trolley near to the parking pole and also the Superman signbord at the trolley. The trolley remained the same position, but no mooncake or handbag in sight…went to the info counter to check if any kind hearted person has return my handbag….but no…so I jot down my details for them to contact me.

Meantime , drove home and search again….still dont have. Called bank to cancel my ATM and credit cards. Shooi…..this is the result of a BIG HEAD PRAWN. The zombie like hubby drove out to do another round of search at Giant, must have been woken up by the drama…(feel so guilty….he’s suppose to get some sleep, but out searching for my handbag pulak)

What’s in the handbag…actually just my wallet…today very unusual..i left my handphone and car key in my jeans pocket and also the Hotlink reload for my maid…if not lagi cry. But my wallet got lot of “treasures”.

I lost about RM200 cash…a 512mb SD card, Mycard, Maybank ATM card, RHB ATM card, HSBC and Maybank Visa, Driving licence, Maid’s ID, Jcard, McD card, AAM card, other dental, clinic registration cards, receipt for JS next year schooling registration fees, photos, aiyo…what other junks also I dont know….ooh yeah…and WH’s umbilical cord (I still keep it , but heck..I didn’t keep his in the album like JS’s) …wait till hubby comes back need to go make report at the police station.

Women are damn “mah fan” specises…go out must carry handbag…such a burden actually…. usually I dont carry handbag, just wallet and usually i hide it in the car without carry down (coz bulky)… today just because want to go shopping with WH, hard to carry wallet and him, so I took the sling handbag, and today so BLACK and SHOOI…I left it behind after shopping

This happen to hubby’s colleague too not long ago….both of them when JB for audit….hubby drove, on the way back stopped over at Ayer Keroh Flyover Bridge for dinner..then drove back….reached Senawang toll…”darling, actually I almost reached home already, but now have to turn back to Malacca” ..the colleague realize she left the handbag at A&W. Lucky hubby still kept the receipt with the phone number and called A&W , lucky the bag still there, asked them to keep aside. Hubby have to drive all the way from Seremban to Ayer Keroh to take back the bag…imagine suppose to reach home at 7pm but ended up reached home at 10pm…all tired….hubby told his colleague..if his wife so BIG HEAD PRAWN, sure kena scolding by him kau kau liao……see now what happen to his own wife…..really cilaka….

ok…after this expensive and troublesome lesson…no more carrying handbag for me…should wear more jeans and buy more pants with lotsa pockets and put everything into it…..
