I want to monetized my blog, my current WP does not offer must flexibility on how I want to personalize my blog and I dont want to move back to Bloggers. The only thing that I can do is to move on to WP.Org
Still not too sure if it’s a wise move. My blog is suppose to be a personal space of memory and my own thoughts, I’m not too sure how I will welcome the posts on ads and sponsored post. I dont really like the idea of having these posts “contaminate” my blog, but the $$$$ is just as attractive. Though the amount might not be big, but at least it is something for a income-less home maker.
Maybe I shall segregate my blog. One for personal, one for my kids and one for parenting/education??? Really not so sure what I’m going to do as currently I post everything into the same blog, easy to maintain, my Chinese blog has almost been abandon… just dont have the time keep posting in 2 blogs. With all the sponsored post, it will no longer look neat and personal…
How huh?? Cannot just let the chance to earn money go right???

Well, there are pros and cons of monetizing your blog. yes money is too good to refuse and it would help one way or another, like can buy new toys for the kids, etc. Across the time, maybe can pay for own web hosting and so on. Even if I make say USD100-200 per year, that would be sufficient to pay for my own hosting service. Anything extra is wonderful already.
bored la, not able to read almost all my feeds. How come you still able to read my latest update?
I really love to have a very personal and neat blog, but ads are too good to be shut away.

I suggest you go open a separate acct in blogger or something… which I’m doing coz I find having my own dot com filled with ads can be quite unsightly… or realistically… ugly looking.
I started blogging in Blogger…still have the account, but when I migrated to WP, I deleted all my post and comments there, now I cant find a way to import my posts from WP back to blogger. No point if I have no post there in blogger and I wont be able to attract readers and hence the ads serve no purpose.

Let’s face it, it’s not easy to SAHM like me to get a freelance job, just if blogging can bring in some, I’ll take it.

yes yes.. I know you have been working super hard. I faint if one day I dont login and I see in my feeds you have posted many many posts.
I would love to keep my own domain neat but this WP I’m using is not able to put in ads and I can’t switch back to blogger.
